Hunters Axe

Specially made for large game hunters. The axe poll is forged thinner than normal, rounded and burnished to a Flay Poll for use when skinning an animal. The axe is as good for chopping wood as well as for dressing a carcass. The handle has a knurled grip with circular grooves to give a solid grip even if your hands are wet or sticky. This innovative axe received, a design award from The Swedish Society of Crafts and Design. The axe has a 3 1/4" face and a 19" hickory handle, the head weighs 1 1/2 lb. Comes with a full-grain leather sheath.

This model takes it's elegant lines from the Atkinson Traveler and is the ultimate tripping canoe. Wood trim, contoured seats, and deep-dish yoke are all standard.
