Our toboggans are 'Made in USA' right here in Brattleboro, Vermont. Manufactured to superior standards out of 5/16" thick steam-bent local hardwoods. The edge and center slats are stained with contrasting mahogany stain to provide a classic look. A generous coating of gloss finish ensures excellent durability and a lifetime of fun in the snow. Toboggans have sculpted breast-plates and come with non-manila side and tow ropes. This year 2018 our most popular 6ft Toboggan is available. American Traders Premium 6 and 8ft toboggans with Extended Center & Edge Slats due to manufacturing capacity limitations will not be available in 2018. Red vinyl cushions are available for the 6ft Toboggan.

Our beautiful hand made toboggans are not a typical hardware store toy! Made from selected hardwoods they are designed after an antique toboggan model that graced the pages of a popular 1920s mail order catalogue.

The Kevlar Canadian Tripper. Length 17'4" and weighing in at a mere 42lbs. E-fused epoxy Kevlar layup . This model takes it's elegant lines from the Atkinson Traveler and is the ultimate tripping canoe. Wood trim, contoured seats, and deep-dish yoke are all standard. Also available PROSPECTOR 15' & 16'6' Kevlar E-fusion models and the SPIRIT 16 Recreation canoe. We would like to get lots of these canoes out on the water, so please call for availability. |
